Familia Romana

These resources are all aimed at helping you use Familia Rōmāna.

• Audio recordings of Lingua Latīna (classical pronunciation)
  Helpful to practice listening comprehension and to work on consistency in pronunciation.
• Answer key for PENSA (end of chapter exercises)
  Good to practice with a partner: one person works the Pensa from the book, the other can check answers using the key.
• Handouts for chapters I–XV
  Short grammar, reading notes, and vocabulary for each chapter.
• Companion Guide
  An English language commentary on each chapter that explains the grammar being used and introduced. Helpful to connect Familia Rōmāna with grammar you’ve already learned or to systematize what you’re learning now.

  Dialogues that use the vocabulary and grammar from the chapters in Familia Rōmāna. We’ll use these in class and they are here if you want to practice more. (Note: the audio for the actual dialogue doesn’t begin until a little way into the video.)

  Another additional reading that closely matches the text. Great for additional practice.
